SmoothSkin devices are FDA cleared. IPL works effectively if there is contrast between hair and skin tone, on blonde – dark hair, and is safe for light to light-brown skin. Please check suitability for IPL in the chart above or contact SmoothSkin.
How often do I have to use my SmoothSkin Pure Fit?
With Pure Fit, you only need to use the device once a week for 12 weeks initially, and then just top up as required, usually once every 4 – 8 weeks to keep regrowth at bay. Using the device more often is unnecessary and could result in irritation.
Is IPL treatment painful?
This varies from person to person, but most users describe it as a slight tingling or warm sensation that is not painful. Remember Pure Fit has a GENTLE MODE for particularly sensitive areas.
How long does it take to see results?
You can see visible results in as little as 2 weeks with Pure Fit, depending on your own hair growth cycle. It may take some users a little longer to achieve results, we recommend following the treatment regime for at least 12 weeks.
Is IPL permanent?
SmoothSkin devices will prevent hair regrowth as long as you keep treating regularly. After the initial 12 week regime, you will need to do ‘top up’ treatments every 4–8 weeks depending on your hair growth rate. Results may vary for different people.
